Santa Clara County announced that it "released" John Vartanian from his position of director of the Department of Child Support Services.

An ordinance banning cannabis collectives from unincorporated Santa Clara County goes into effect Sept. 25.

Cannabis clubs, already banned from every local jurisdiction except for some slim pickings of real estate in San Jose, may get outlawed from unincorporated Santa Clara County, too.
