Daniel Widyanto Condronimpino, 34, of Palm Beach, Fla., is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a pedestrian tunnel that connects California and Alma avenues in Palo Alto on April 9.

Cindy Chavez’ strong Democratic Party and organized labor credentials had vaulted the Santa Clara County supervisor to the top of the list of candidates for Chief Administrative Officer, but these strengths could prove to be her undoing.

The alleged sexual assault happened when the victim attended Silver Creek High School, where she was a student of the suspect, who is currently a teacher at Yerba Buena High School in East San Jose.

In 1994, a 21-year-old manager of the President Tuxedo store in the Westfield Oakridge Mall was attacked by a man when she opened for business. She
was forced her into the storage room at knifepoint, tied to a pipe and sexually assaulted by the thief, who took money from the cash register and fled on foot. The case lay dormant until last December.

Restorative justice is a controversial process that brings together the student who was harmed, the person who harmed them and the community to seek solutions.

The incidents occurred in a middle school classroom at Hubbard Media Academy, a K-8 school at 1680 Foley Avenue in East San Jose

Police said the suspect worked as a physical therapist for the California Children’s Services, where the survivor was receiving physical therapy treatments from the suspect due to a medical condition. They encouraged any other victims to come forward.

Deputies said Stephen Eugene Thai sexually assaulted two students during the after school art program. They did not identify the school.

The school district had been headed for trial in Santa Clara County Superior Court Nov. 7 in the civil action brought by two men sexually assaulted as students, in 2020, and in 2008-2009. 

A parent of the student at Kipp Navigate College Prep on Sept. 20 reported to San José police that she had located messages from an adult male on her daughter's phone.

This is the second time Holland has been charged with Marowki’s murder. Santa Clara prosecutors were forced to drop the case in 2015 when a judge legally separated it from the slaying of 17-year-old Cynthia Munoz. Both women were murdered in 1983.

Raymond Ruiz was fired from his position as an instructor in the college's Students with Developmental Disabilities program after the sexual assault allegations surfaced in 2020, and remains in custody awaiting trial on criminal charges.

San Jose police said that an Independence High School student in August reported that a boys volleyball referee had sexually assaulted her after school in April 2022.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a lanky frame and beard. He was wearing an orange beanie hat. The victim told police that she had seen the suspect recently on the late-night bus.

Peter Michael Columbo, a 55-year-old Redwood City resident, was a part-time coach employed by the city in Palo Alto's middle school athletic program, at Greene (formerly Jordan) Middle School between 2015 and 2019. 

Phillip Anthony James was arrested Monday by Sunnyvale public safety officers in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a student at Cupertino Middle School.
