State attorneys general from six states, including California, and the Federal Trade Commission announced  the settlement with room and roommate-finding platform Roomster and its owners.

Raymond Ruiz was fired from his position as an instructor in the college's Students with Developmental Disabilities program after the sexual assault allegations surfaced in 2020, and remains in custody awaiting trial on criminal charges.
