A judge ordered civil penalties to be paid by DGDG, which does business at more than 16 locations in Northern California, including Capitol Volkswagen, Capitol Chevrolet, and Stevens Creek Mazda.

The female officer, who has not been identified, was seriously wounded in Wednesday's shooting, when a single bullet struck her in the abdomen below her bulletproof vest, causing serious injury to her intestine, colon, liver and gall bladder, and fracturing her spine, according to District Attorney Jeff Rosen.
