Nam Le laundered millions of dollars in payroll for Atlas Private Security, owned by Robert Foster, a former San Jose police officer who was sentenced last year to three years in prison for insurance fraud, money laundering, tax evasion and worker exploitation.

Robert Foster, 48, of Morgan Hill, pleaded no contest to a series of felony fraud charges in connection with his security business and will be sentenced to three years in county jail and two years of mandatory supervision. Foster will repay $1.13 million to Everest National Insurance and the Employment Development Department.

Robert Foster allegedly used his private security firm to commit fraud, evade taxes, steal wages and launder about $18 million.
