An investigator’s hunch led the DA’s Office to a suspect in the 33-year-old gang murder of a 14-year-old in San Jose. The man, who was living under another name in Ohio, was killed in a shootout with the FBI 17 years ago.

The mandate, which takes effect Saturday and is expected to last a month, requires most Californians to stay home from 10pm to 5am.
