The county has launched an investigation into the hospital’s handling of the superspreader event that infected at least 60 people and killed one.

The South Bay hospital outbreak comes amid a post-holiday season explosion in coronavirus cases throughout California.

The medical center is using contact tracing and will personally notify and test any staff member or patient who were potentially exposed.
