Two newcomers, Margaret Abe-Koga and Betty Duong, win county supervisor races. In the Gilroy mayoral race, Greg Bozzo moves farther ahead of incumbent Marie Blankley.

April 2 Update: City, county, state ballots set for November

After eight days of counting, Jonsen led by 1.44 percentage points. That’s less than half the margin Jonsen had on Election Day, when 49% of votes had been counted. 

Chavez would have to increase her winning percentage of the approximately 57,000 uncounted ballots to 55%, in order to wipe out Mahan's lead.

Vote Centers close at 8pm tonight, but it can take a few hours for all vote centers to report results, and weeks before the final totals are known.
