The meeting will be held Thursday, June 6, 6:30 – 8pm at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center Hiram Room, 17000 Monterey Road.

After a tunnel is completed, crews will begin construction of a new dam embankment, which will continue until 2032. Anderson Reservoir will remain empty until the project is complete. 

The Dec. 20 quake occurred in a rural stretch of Northern California known as the Mendocino Triple Junction, where three tectonic plates meet.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, from the quake, which occurred along the Calaveras Fault at a depth of 6 miles.

Crews will soon begin digging 24-foot tunnel into the Anderson reservoir near Morgan Hill.

The Monday evening quake, which occurred along the Hayward Fault, was felt as far south as Santa Cruz and as far north as Santa Rosa.
