The nurses' union says county management failed to bargain in good faith around working conditions and safety issues that impact nurses and patient care.

The faculty union had sought a 12% raise, but instead settled Monday on one 5% raise retroactive to July 1, 2023, and another to begin this July 1.

Faculty members at California State University campuses also are at impasse in labor negotiations.

Physicians' union claim the county is ignoring poor working conditions in its health systems that affect patient care.
