The small SUV appears to be white with a thin black stripe running the length of the car, police said.

Police said the officer suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Anyone with information about the fatal collision is asked to call San Jose police.

The collision was reported about 5pm on April 8 in the 1100 block of South First Street in San Jose.

The fatal collision is the 13th on San Jose city streets in 2021. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the SJPD.

The collision, reported at 4:26pm Monday along Brokaw Road, marks 11 fatal traffic collisions in San Jose this year.
