State Sen. Jim Beall has proven to be an able legislator over the course of his career, while his challenger, Assemblywoman Nora Campos, has hopscotched from one embarrassing incident to the next since arriving in Sacramento.

Beall has championed policy that protects the environment, people with mental illness and victims of sexual abuse. Campos has earned a reputation for terrorizing her own staffers and wasting precious resources that could help constituents. Meanwhile, her husband, former construction and trades union boss Neil Struthers, spends his days picking fist fights and receiving groin kicks from political opponents.

Jim Beall deserves another term in Senate District 15—and it’s high time Nora Campos’ political career came to an end.
