Hsu, Maschino Set Up Nonprofit Charity in San Jose

Will Rebuild by Raising Funds for Arts Groups and Politicians Locally

An incarcerated flimflam man and an indicted political fundraiser have filed papers with the Secretary of State in order to form a nonprofit corporation which has effectively put the pair in business in California where they will dole out money for a living.

Fugitive Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu and convicted swindler Larry Emilio Maschino have hung a shingle at Pelican Bay where they will begin the arduous task of regaining their misbegotten status in society by raising money for local politicians, small arts groups and charities in San Jose.

“We want to start small and work our way up slowly this time,” said Maschino from Cell Block 5. “We are going to focus on a much smaller and more local level.”

Investment guru Suze Orman says that while Ponzi schemes are great ways to build wealth fast, they are also very risky. “I commend these two crooks for their efforts to rebuild in the face of insurmountable odds,” she said, “but I would encourage them to look at more mainstream vehicles for achieving their illegal wealth like gambling, drugs or lobbying.”

Hsu has described their company, Angels for Democracy and the Arts, as working similar to an angel investor but without the convertible debt, ownership equity, influence over management decisions or board representation that usually go with such an investment.

“We will start by supporting union shills for school board seats around the Bay Area,” said Hsu, “with the ultimate goal of electing Forrest Williams governor of our great state.”

Records indicate that the pair will have laundry duty at Pelican Bay for an indeterminate time period while their offices in Los Gatos are refurbished.

  1. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF HSU’S IN THIS COUNTRY AND THEY ARE RUINING THE PROCESS.
THE POLITICANS ARE OWED BY THESE SLEAZY LOBBISTS AND DO THEIR BIDDING BOTH IN OUR NATIONS CAPITOL AND IN SAN JOSE.  THEY ONLY CURE IS GOVERNMENT FUNDED ELECTIONS WITH DEBATES WEEKELY ON NATIONAL OR LOCAL TV STATIONS.  THEN WE CAN REALLY GET TO KNOW HOW WE ARE VOTING FOR AND WHO IS SUPPORTING THEM.

  2. If they launder the clothes @ Pelican Bay as poorly as they laundered their $$$, the Aryan Nation and the Black Guerilla Army will unite for the first time and pass these guys around like they were Senator Craig.

While I don’t hold Hillary responsible for Hsu’s actions, I note with great interest her reaction to the news when it first came out.  She essentially wished him good luck with his legal problems.  I’m not sure that I would have reacted so calmly if someone had created a huge problem for me like he did.

Quick aside:  It seems that there are some “Single Gals” in Saudi Arabia who want to drive cars!  How dare they!  Here are a few comments posted on the BBC’s website:

“Even if there were a law enabling women to drive, society itself would reject the women who did so…Take another example; many Saudi women would like to sing or take up acting, but this is rejected within society.”
    Loay Al-Kabbani, 28, Riyadh

“If Saudi Arabia allows women to drive, there will have to be more law-enforcement officers in and around the cities.  There would also have to be women-only garages and service centers.”
    Ibrahim Hussain, 57, Al-Khobar

“Every time they are asked about it, they say it will come naturally.  but if we lived in a natural society, women would have been driving as soon as cars began.  There was no problem with women riding camels and donkeys in the past.  What’s wrong with cars?
    Said, University Lecturer, 50, Riyadh

  4. Maschino is a crook
    Hsu is a schnook
    Return money they took
    Give them the hook
    Then throw the book
    For the plot they cook
    Thought the world shook
    Innocence they tried to rook

  5. I know this is way off topic, but have you ever looked at how many columns on different issues have been posted here on SJI? It really is kind of amazing to walk back into history and see all the people who have come and gone, and all the issues before the city, etc. It’s really kind of cool when you think about it. Even the writers styles have changed, and become better, and stronger. Wow!
