California Public Health Director Wants to Offer COVID-19 Booster Shots to Everyone

COVID-19 booster shots should be available to anyone who requests one in California as long as their initial vaccination was long enough ago, the state's director of public health said in a letter to local health providers.

Dr. Tomas Aragon, director of the state's Department of Public Health, said in the letter that while health care providers and jurisdictions should proactively reach out to certain subsets of the population for the booster shots, they should “allow patients to self-determine their risk of exposure” and “not turn a patient away who his requesting a booster.”

People should receive the booster shot as long as they are 18 or older and have at least six months since their initial vaccination series for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months since the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, according to the letter.

The guidelines outlined in the letter are looser for booster shots than those set by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that specify that those shots should go to people who are 65 and older, have certain underlying medical conditions, live in long-term care facilities, or work or live in other specified high-risk settings.

Officials with the California Department of Public Health have not said what prompted the policy change, but on Wednesday, Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state officials at a news conference in Southern California encouraged people to get the booster shots ahead of the upcoming winter holidays when people are more likely to gather inside with friends and family.

California Health and Human Services Agency Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said at the briefing, "If you think you will benefit from getting a booster shot, I encourage you to go out and get it.”

Here is the letter from Aragon to health providers.

  1. “CA Public Health Director Wants to Offer COVID-19 to Everyone” Really? LOL

Didn’t China Offer COVID-19 to the entire world 2 years ago?

——————- Timeline: How coronavirus got started —————-
The outbreak spanning the globe began in December 2019, in Wuhan, China.

Dec 2019: WHO says mysterious pneumonia sickening dozens in China.
Health authorities in China confirm that dozens of people in Wuhan, China, are being treated for pneumonia from an unknown source.
Many of those sickened had visited a live animal market in Wuhan, but Chinese authorities say there is NO Evidence of the virus spreading from person to person.

  2. No, thanks.

The CEO of Phizer was denied entry onto Israel because he was unvaccinated. What’s he know that we don’t?

I haven’t gotten the vaccine. The only way I’ll get it is forcibly. I’m no match for Big Gov’t. But I don’t believe their lies.

I don’t know what’s behind this insane push to put a strange ‘vaccine’ into everyone. But it ain’t for our benefit…

  3. “California Public Health Director Wants to Offer COVID-19 to Everyone” Makes sense.. That’s probably why we’re all ordered to wear filthy disease spreading masks. How disgusting the whole habit is. Just think about the idea for a minute and all the germs growing around your moist nose and mouth all day long. We’d be healthier if we allowed smoking in restaurants again and tossed the comical cloth facial coverings.

  4. By the way, this idea goes against the recommendations of at least 17 out of 19 experts on the FDA commission that recommended against quack Ghaly’s idea. If I were a health director I’d see how the impending train wreck coming from vaccinating small children turns out before spitting out more dangerous ideas. Like inflation, you can’t talk your way around facts indefinitely and now that children are involved silencing everyone will be extremely difficult.

  5. This news is totally useless. There is no information as to how to find places that offer booster to every adult. For example, websites like https://myturn.ca.gov/ still shows “– You are not eligible at this time –” unless you are 65+ or meeting some conditions.

Please explain how to make an appointment for booster even though I am healthy and far below 65.
