A 25-year-old Southern California man is in custody for allegedly taking part in a financial sextortion scheme that played a role in the suicide of a 17-year-old San Jose boy.

A former employee of the steak house at the Stanford Shopping Center, Zachary Michael Ginsberg, 32, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and shooting at an occupied building after allegedly firing at least two rounds that struck the window of the restaurant and an unoccupied vehicle.

The five suspects, who appear to be associated with the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club in San Francisco, were arrested Tuesday as suspects in the murder of 41-year-old Bakersfield resident Juan Gonzalez and the brutal assault of an off-duty police officer at a Chris Stapleton concert.

A father and son who are the owners of two commercial cleaning companies in San Jose were arrested this week after state officials allege they underreported $12 million in payroll to save on paying workers compensation insurance. Edgardo Cabrales Sr., 61, and his son, Edgar Cabrales Jr., 36, are charged with five felony counts each of insurance fraud, following an investigation by the California Department of Insurance. The investigation into the Cabrales' companies, Pine Building Maintenance and Network Facility Management, began after officials suspected the businesses of fraud.

Google was accused of losing data critical to the investigation of a $4 billion cryptocurrency money laundering scheme. As part of the settlement, the company said it spent over $90 million to improve its ability to respond to future data requests.
