Type of Crime: Residential burglary
Details: A witness reported a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood and provided a description. When officers arrived they located a subject inside the vehicle and made contact with him. As officers were approaching a nearby house they observed two subjects walking out with property. The subjects immediately took of running and jumped over a fence. One suspect was located and arrested. The second suspect was not located and remains at large. Two suspects were arrested and booked. The investigation is ongoing.

Type of Crime: Robbery
Details: The female suspect stole the victims wallet and when the victim tried to retrieve it, two adult male subjects physically assaulted the victim. The victim declined medical attention. The unidentified suspects were not located and remain at large. The investigation is ongoing.

Type of Crime: Residential burglary
Details: A witness reported seeing two subjects walking away from a home carrying bags and acting suspicious. The witness identified a suspicious vehicle following behind the subjects. Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle with three occupants driving in the area. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and two subjects took off running from the vehicle. The subjects were eventually located and arrested. All three suspects were booked into Juvenile Hall.

Details: The suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation. At some point the suspect armed herself with a knife and stabbed the victim a least one time. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was not located and remains at large.The investigation is ongoing.

Details: Western Division gang car officers conducted enforcement in area known for high drug and gang activity. Officers contacted a self admitted SSP Surena Gang member. A records check revealed that she had an active felony warrant for vehicle theft. Officers contacted another subject who was a parolee at large, a registered sex offender that was out of compliance and had two active felony warrants for his arrest. Officers contacted a third subject who had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest for resisting and delaying, battery and theft. All three subjects were booked into jail.

Details: A Sergeant and four officers conducted foot patrol in the Guadalupe Creek trail area east of Andrew Hill High School. During the foot patrol, officers contacted 10 subjects, four of which had outstanding warrants.

Details: Officers were flagged down by citizens reporting a burglary in progress. Two suspects had broken into the victim's home and stolen multiple items. The victim was surprised by the suspects when she arrived home. Officers responded and arrested two suspects in the neighborhood. The stolen property was recovered. The suspects were booked into county jail.

Details: On the above date and time, four officers and one sergeant worked overtime to combat gang related issues in the Central Division. Premise checks were conducted at Roosevelt Park, William Street Park, St. James Park, Olinder Park, Jeanne/Forrestdale, BackestoPark and 1st/Gish. Officers conducted extensive patrol of these areas and made contact with multiple subjects. Numerous parole and probation searches were conducted with negative results. There were no major issues to report. 13 man hours were spent in the above areas.

Details: Witnesses reported that they observed suspects shooting at another subject who was walking on Lanai Avenue. The suspects and victim all fled before the police arrived. Several casings were recovered from the street. No blood was found.

Details: The victim came home and discovered two suspects in her home. She ran out of her house and hid. The victim followed the suspects to their vehicle and she was able to get their license plate as well as see a third suspect. An officer spotted the suspect vehicle on and conducted an enforcement stop. The suspects were booked into County Jail.

Details: On the above date and time, four officers and one sergeant worked overtime gang enforcement in the Southern Division. Multiple contacts were made in the area of Great Oaks Park, Crocker Ct and Monterey Rd. One Norteno was observed in a hand to hand drug transaction atGreat Oaks Park. A juvenile was cited for possession of a gravity knife and several Crip gang members were identified on Crocker Ct. Two probation searches were conducted.

Details: Patrol officers responded to the parking lot and located a male victim suffering from at least one non life threatening stab wound. The victim was uncooperative and refused to provide any information pertaining to the incident. There have not been any suspects identified or apprehended. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Details: Police responded to a suspicious person call of an unknown male bleeding from his back after he knocked on the R/P's door in the 1600 block of Archer Street, in San Jose. The R/P did not know the victim but immediately called the police. Upon arrival, police discovered that the adult male victim had been stabbed at least once causing potentially life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital was expected to survive. No suspects have been identified or apprehended. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Type of Crime: Fire department aid
Details: San Jose Fire Dept., Santa Clara County EMS, and San Jose P.D. responded to a "Two-Alarm" fire at a landfill in the 700 block of Los Esteros Road, in San Jose. SJ Fire requested SJPD to assist in providing traffic control while Fire units battled a very large fire. Per a Fire Captain on scene, SJ Fire was expected to be on this call throughout the night. At lest one SJPD unit was needed for at least two hours for the traffic control. The cause of the fire was unknown at this time.

Type of Crime: Vandalism of city property
Details: An Officer observed a large crowd gathering near the front entrance of the business. Additional officers responded to the scene. Three of the responding officers parked their patrol vehicles in the south parking lot adjacent to the business. All three officers exited their patrol vehicles and assisted with crowd disbursal. Upon returning to the patrol vehicles, an unidentified patron stated a police vehicle had been damaged. Officers returned to their vehicles and conducted an inspection. The officers located a large dent in the front passenger door of one marked patrol vehicle. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Details: The victims encountered the suspects in the parking lot of a business. The victims exchanged stares with the suspects while standing outside of the store. The suspects made gang gestures and then fired at the victims, as they drove out of the parking lot. Two males were struck by gunfire. One victim was located nearby and transported to a local area hospital. The other was driven from the scene by a friend and treated at a local area hospital. Both victims sustained non life-threatening injuries. The unidentified suspects are at-large. The investigation is active and on-going

Location: 2900 Block Tobin Drive
Type of Crime: Search warrant
Details: Officers served a search warrant with the assistance of Special Operations Units, and AIR2. During the surround and call out, approximately 14 subjects exited the residence. Six of those subjects were found to have active felony warrants. The primary suspect listed in the warrant attempted to flee the containment and was spotted by AIR2 discarding numerous items within the perimeter. The primary suspect was later apprehended attempting to break the perimeter. The items discarded were later discovered to be a loaded 9mm pistol and approximately 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine. The subjects were booked into County Jail.

Type of Crime: Suspicious package
Details: A passer-by reported a suspicious box that was next to and partially under a car parked in the parking lot of a business. It appeared to be wooden, and had wires hanging out of it. The immediate area was evacuated and a perimeter was set up. The Bomb Unit was called out and determined that the box was benign, apparently an abandoned audio speaker box.

Type of Crime: Carjacking
Details: Three males approached the victim on foot in carport area of apartment complex, and struck him in the face (unknown if weapon used) causing victim to temporarily lose consciousness. Suspects drove off in victim's vehicle in an unknown direction. Victim treated at scene but refused medical transport. The suspects have not been identified or apprehended. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Type of Crime: Assault with deadly weapon
Details: Officers investigated an assault with a deadly weapon involving a firearm at the1000 block of Blossom River Way. During the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect shooter. Officers apprehended the suspect, recovered the involved firearm, along with an undisclosed amount of cannabis for sales. The suspect was booked for into County Jail.
What is the purpose of these posts? If we had more officers (VCET, Gang detectives, Street Crimes, Merge, Burglary, Auto theft) we could solve these crimes. Instead Chuck has cut the department so low you call in and hope someone takes a report for your insurance claim.
